Environmental Management Certifications & Licenses
Our commitment to complying with global standards and leading the eco-friendly steel ecosystem.
Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)
In June 2023, POSCO YAMATO VINA achieved the first international EPD certification in the Vietnamese steel industry through UL Solutions, a global certification body. This represents our strong commitment and promise to transparently measure and reduce the environmental impact across the entire life cycle of our steel products (hot-rolled structural steel).

Global Environmental Standard Certifications
- ISO 14001 Introduction and operation of the international standard Environmental Management System
- ISO 14064 Compliance with the standard for quantifying and verifying organizational Greenhouse Gas Inventory
- ISO 14067 Calculation of the Carbon Footprint of Products across their entire life cycle
- SSA (Steel Sustainability Australia) Australian steel sustainability certification - Verified eco-friendly supply chain and manufacturing site (Verified Supplier Certificate)
Vietnamese Environmental Regulations & Operation Licenses
- Giấy phép môi trường (Environmental Permit) Integrated environmental operation license approved by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Vietnam, valid for 7 years. Fulfills strict national standards for air, water, and waste, ensuring lawful factory operations.
- Eco-Friendly Process Management Continuous promotion of resource-circulating steel manufacturing methods based on scrap and minimization of resource/energy usage.
2050 Decarbonization Roadmap & Strategy
POSCO YAMATO VINA achieves low-carbon green steel by maximizing the electrical efficiency of our electric arc furnace process and expanding clean energy utilization.

Facility
Real-time monitoring analysis during the rolling stage and continuous investments to upgrade steelmaking facilities.
Clean Energy
Expansion of rooftop renewable solar power systems on the administrative office, canteen, and employee motorbike parking areas.
Carbon Offset
Achieving ultimate Carbon Neutrality (Net-Zero) by 2050 through a combination of strategic on-site reductions and credible carbon credits.
Environmental Monitoring Systems
Environmental Emergency Response System
Detection & Immediate Reporting
Promptly identify environmental anomalies through on-site workers and real-time monitoring systems, and notify relevant departments.
Initial Control & Containment
Control site access according to the safety manual and execute emergency measures to block the leakage of pollutants at the source.
Recovery & Preventive Measures
Conduct professional environmental cleanup, determine the exact cause, and implement measures and system improvements to prevent recurrence.
